This policy explains what personal information CATRP collects through the buylist at sell.catrp.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

CATRP (Chase After The Right Price) operates this buylist, which lets you sell retro video games and related items to us. If you have any question about this policy or about your data, contact us at contact@catrpcrew.com.

What we collect

• Account details — your name, username, email address and whether you are based in the United States. We ask for your legal name because we need it to process payments.
• Payment details — the PayPal email address you want to be paid at. We do not see or store your PayPal password, card numbers or bank details.
• Submission history — the items you offer us, the prices quoted, tracking numbers and any notes you send with a shipment.
• Preferences — your currency display choice, whether you want email updates about your submissions, and whether you have opted in to marketing email.
• Collection quotes — if you request a quote for a collection without creating an account, we store the name, email address and item list you give us so we can send you that quote.

Why we use it, and on what basis

• To run your account and process your submissions — we need this to provide the service you have asked for.
• To email you about your submissions — status updates, quotes and payment confirmations. These are service messages, not marketing, and you can control them from your account settings.
• To send marketing email — only if you have opted in. We will not add you to our mailing list unless you ask us to, and you can leave at any time.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations — records of what we bought and what we paid.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services we use to operate the buylist:

• MailerSend — delivers our service emails.
• Mailchimp — runs our marketing mailing list. Your details only reach Mailchimp if you have opted in to marketing.
• PayPal — pays you for items we buy.
• Our hosting provider — stores the site and its database.

Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there.

Marketing email

Marketing email is entirely optional and separate from emails about your submissions. You can opt in or out at any time from your account settings, or by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email we send.

If you unsubscribe, our mailing list provider records that permanently. If you later change your mind, you may need to sign up again through the link we show in your account settings — we cannot simply add you back.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and submission history for as long as your account is open, and afterwards for as long as we need to meet our accounting and legal obligations. Collection quote requests are removed after two months.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete your account and its data, or stop using your information for marketing. You can update most of your details yourself from your account settings. For anything else, email contact@catrpcrew.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are in the UK or EU and you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
